International OHS Standard moved to Final Draft
Just out from Exemplar Global is news that the International Standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems ISO45001 has finally gone to a final draft.
This is exciting news in the OHS community. There has never been an international standard before in this space. The British 18001 standard has been adopted as a Quasi International Standard in the past, but finally there is a real one. Also here in Australia the AS4801:2001 standard has been long overdue for review, and adoption of the new standard will really elevate the standard of health and safety management.
For businesses with multiple standards certifications, this new standard should go a long way to help you streamline and integrate your management systems, with a healthy risk focus in line with ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015.
Watch this space as we explore more about the draft and what it means for you and your business.
